Scenario
Divine G, incarcerated in Sing-Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose in life by performing in a theater group with other inmates in this story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art. At the beginning of the film, the actors try out for different roles in the play. The group is criticized for not acting in a comedy, although their previous play was A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is a comedy.
The cast was extraordinary

Colman Domingo is incredible
The filmography is very unique and really sets the tone. The plot was well thought out and dynamic. I was very moved by this film.
Definitely worth watching on the big screen
The film is based on a true story about the Reformed Through Art theater program at Sing Sing. Many characters are played by former participants of the program. The emotional range of the characters in this film is extremely convincing.
Just deeply cute
I was moved to tears several times throughout the film. This film is touching and soul-warming—it explores hope, grief, and redemption.
