Scenario
After witnessing a strange, traumatic incident involving a patient, a psychiatrist becomes increasingly convinced that she is being threatened by some extraordinary entity. In the days leading up to the September 30, 2022 premiere, the film’s cast appeared at various baseball games, sitting behind home plate completely still and smiling, staring at the camera, motionless, even as fans in the audience were understandably concerned, wearing Smile T-shirts.

Around the 31-minute mark, Rose smashes a glass as her alarm goes off. A few seconds later, when she checks the door, she is wearing lace-up shoes.

The special effects are good, and the potential for parts 2, 3, and more in the near future is evident in the title role
You never know when it will be your turn to watch another creature writhe as it slips from its coil, passing on to you a confusion that will overwhelm and steal all your passion and ardor, there is simply no way to smile and endure it, there is no escape until you put it on. A fairly original take on a very general horror theme with an oft-used metaphor, but Sosie Bacon’s performance is noteworthy and convincing, as is the escalation, with one or two genuine jump scares that increase the tension and keep you engaged enough to hope for more.
