After recovering, the series went back into production
Scenario
A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades. Production was halted in March 2020 due to government restrictions. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed with and later treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Bridges referred to the return as a return after a “long weekend” in a July 2022 podcast. This show starts super strong with great action and a slow backstory development that keeps you very intrigued. Once you catch up on episode 4, it doesn’t go so well.
Lithgow and Bridges are excellent
Shawcat is a kind of ship anchor who says every line in an almost monotone. None of the characters are particularly lovable. As the plot development and action slows down after a few episodes, a lot of awkward dialogue takes its place.
The more literary style of the Counselor confused many viewers
It seems clear that the writers tried to recreate the style of “The Counselor”, a screenplay by Cormac McCarthy, but they didn’t succeed so well. How much more of a bad copy will it be. I will continue to watch it and hope it gets better.
