Scenario
Sheryl Bradshaw, a single woman looking for a suitor for a hit 1970s TV series, chooses charming bachelor Rodney Alcala, unaware that behind the man’s sweet facade, he hides a deadly secret. The IMDb team has compiled a list of some notable films from 2024 directed by women. Some of Sheryl’s bad experiences as an aspiring actress mirror those of Anna Kendrick. Sheryl’s comment about breasts is “taken verbatim from something that happened to me when I was 19.” The coins stolen from the laundromat are modern quarters.

The movie was very good

I wish it was a little longer and had a few more twists
A few scenes were really amazing, especially the part where they show the dating game and the part after. I saw the movies today at TIFF and it seemed like everyone really enjoyed it despite the serious subject matter. It would have been so great if there hadn’t been a strike and the actors could have participated today. One of the producers was there and read a note from Anna which was well received.
